The classic forged steel bottle opener design is simple, effective, and looks cool, too. I hand forge the bottle opener on all my buckles. When the bottle opener is hot forged with a chisel, the chisel leaves an attractive bevel around the edge of the bottle opener.
My two part finishing process uses citric acid, followed by crushed corn cobs to clean the buckle. It brings out the details and beauty of the steel without marring the surface.
